Tarros strengthens its presence in Egypt
A Bridge to Africa in La Spezia provided an opportunity to highlight Tarros’ growth path in Egypt, now a key market for the development of logistics relations in the Mediterranean.
During the video interview, Hany Abd El-Rashid, Chairman of Tarros Med Egypt, and Michela Cafarella, Egypt Area Specialist, retraced the main milestones of the company’s development in the country.
From the creation of a container depot, to the establishment of a workshop for container maintenance and repair—also serving third-party clients—up to the foundation of a local agency for the direct management of operational activities.
A central role is now played by Carbox Egypt, which has recorded significant growth in a short period of time, expanding from around 15 to over 30 vehicles, confirming both the market’s potential and the strength of the operational model.
The experience in Egypt today represents a concrete example of the Tarros approach: a model based on strong local partnerships, capable not only of supporting business development but also of fostering effective integration across the entire logistics supply chain.
In this context, direct presence and on-the-ground coordination of activities are becoming increasingly strategic, confirming the Group’s commitment to strengthening its international presence through long-term relationships and an increasingly integrated logistics ecosystem between the two shores of the Mediterranean
